Coming in from a cruise ship?
Joining us from a cruise ship? We’ll meet you at the Independent Tour meeting area, just a short walk from the cruise terminal.
When you disembark, please do not take the shuttle into the city. Instead, make your way to the beginning of the pedestrian walkway and follow the signs for Independent Tours. The meeting point is approximately 500 metres from the cruise terminal, which is around a 15 minute walk.
Pick Up Instructions
Please follow the instructions below if you are joining us from a cruise ship, and please do not take the shuttle into the city.

Indepdent Tour Meeting Area: 94 Waterloo Quay, Pipitea, Wellington 6011
1. Disembark your cruise ship
Once you leave the ship, make your way to the beginning of the pedestrian walkway leading towards the city.
2. Exit the cruise terminal
Exit the cruise ship terminal area via this gate.
3. Follow the signs
Follow the signs and walkkway to the Independent Tour Operator Area.
4. PASS the railroad tracks
Please proceed past the railroad tracks.
5. Go towards The Custom House
Head towards the CentrePort Wellington sign and the Customhouse, as shown in this photo. The parking area between the two is where all independent tour buses will be located.
6. Find your guide and Enjoy the Tour!
Find your Discover Wellington guide
At the Independent Tour meeting area, look for a guide in a blue “Discover Wellington” high-vis vest holding a sign with your booking name.
After your tour
We can drop you back at the Independent Tour Operator Parking Area or in Wellington city. If dropped in the city, you’ll need to make your own way back to the cruise ship.
Want to be picked up in the city?

If you’d like to join us for an afternoon tour after spending the morning sightseeing, simply meet us at one of our two convenient city pickup points. At the end of the tour, we’ll return you to the cruise port.
